Fertilizer from Batteries?
If you take a look into the inside of a battery, you will find many of the ingredients needed to sustain plant-life on Earth.
When used in batteries however, these elements are typically too difficult and expensive to recycle and purify, leaving hundreds of tons of batteries to go to landfills every day. At Catalytic Innovations, Dr. Scott Volner, Dr. Caleb Hull, and their team have been working in industrial agriculture for over a decade, and have the tools and experience to take battery recycling to the next level with the GoRecycle process. The GoRecycle process starts with used alkaline batteries that are collected from individuals and businesses, and sorted into different types. The batteries are then broken down with custom engineered machinery and taken through our proprietary purification process to bring the purity to nearly a thousand times purer than AAPFCO standards, and separate the different nutrients into usable forms so they can be a sustainable source of plant nutrients and reduce landfill waste by up to 180,000 tons per year! |
What about the Battery Acid?
During the purification process the caustic ingredients of the battery are neutralized, and the pH of the final fertilizer is carefully balanced to make the mix a perfect blend for your lawn or garden! |
